  • Overview

    What you will be responsible for

    We’re looking for a .NET/SQL developer to join our expanding development team. The role requires abilities including design, implementation, testing and documentation of new and existing services and applications, including:

    • Development and on-going support of Veco workflow as a core service of our Lettings business process
    • Support of in-house applications and integration processes
    • Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
    • Analysis and authoring of Ad-hoc SQL queries to support the business reporting department
    • Maintenance of business critical data processing
    • Design, implementation and presentation of reporting
    • Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of applications and the business
    • Assess risk and impact on the existing system that may arise due to any requirement or functional change

    What you need

    You will need excellent problem solving abilities with an intuitive, business focussed approach. A highly motivated, team player able to work with, learn and evaluate both existing and new cutting edge technologies. A confident communicator at all levels, able to discuss complex technical concepts to stakeholders at a suitable level.


    Technical skills essential to success in this role are:

    • Commercial experience using: C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, Visual Studio 2003/2010/2017, Web Services, Windows Services, Enterprise Services (COM+) and XML technologies.
    • SQL Server experience including database design and stored procedure development.
    • Experience using with DevExpress WinForms


    Technical skills that would be highly desirable:

    • SQL Reporting Services report writing and subscription maintenance
    • HTML5, CSS, JavaScript experience
    • Ability to produce technical designs and specifications from functional requirements
    • Any .Net MCP, MCAD or MCSD qualifications are advantageous
