Purpose of the Role

As Head of Learning & Development, you will define and implement a progressive L&D strategy that supports the organisation’s business objectives and regulatory requirements. This pivotal leadership role will drive adviser capability, promote a blended learning culture, and support continuous development across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the L&D function, ensuring the delivery of innovative, engaging, and effective learning solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the L&D team to achieve individual and departmental objectives.
  • Design and oversee the delivery of training programmes that are fully evaluated using the Kirkpatrick model, with demonstrable results communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis to identify organisational skill gaps and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Ensure all L&D initiatives comply with regulatory standards and align with Network and business requirements.
  • Establish and promote blended learning methodologies, incorporating digital learning tools, workshops, and coaching.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to ensure training supports business strategy and drives measurable results.

  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience under pressure and adaptability in response to evolving business needs.

The Finer Details

We are currently conducting some interviews using video software. To be eligible to proceed in our recruitment process, you will need:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK (in accordance with the Immigration Asylum and Nationality Act 2006)
